Order of direct and indirect object - Volgorde van lijdend en meewerkend voorwerp
If a clause contains both a direct object and an indirect object, the direct object follows the indirect object.
| Sara geeft Kamil een boek. |
Sara geeft hem een boek. |
| Sara gives Kamil a book. |
Sara gives him a book. |
However, if both objects are personal pronouns, then the direct object precedes the indirect object:
| Sara geeft het hem. |
| Sara gives him it. |
